The Koala Kronicles - Friendship At First Sight

 Hello!

It's me again! Your favourite, secret spying stuffed animal Charles Dickens. This isn't the name given to me when I was made though. My real name is Agent 176889. Pretty boring no? No one should have numbers in their name. So yeah, call me Charlie. We were at the part when the man came in and fetched me and Gwen from Australia.

Mr Guy put us both in a bag and handed us over to the Indian Man. I slept half the time I slept, but there was nothing actually memorable about the ride. Just Gwen complaining about how much space I'm taking. Gwen's real name is Agent 176888. How did we get our current names?

We stayed in the bag for a week I think, when we finally got taken out. But before all that, let me give you some context -

In the AMEN, you are considered to be lucky if bought by an adult, because the adult will keep you safe and will do no such thing to harm you. Kids, however, are described as crazy, mad, stupid Godzillas whose only mission is to destroy everything in their path. So I thought I was pretty lucky to be bought by a grown-up. That was before I heard the conversation by the Indian Man with his wife. They were talking in the car as they headed towards the Indian Man's brother's house. This is how it went-

Wife- These were pretty expensive, wasn't there anything cheaper?

Indian Man- Yes, I don't know why I bought them. They'll just use them for a while and forget about them later.

Wife-Oh Jeffin!

I looked at Gwen, a hint of worry in my eyes, 'Who are "they"?'

Gwen shrugged but she also looked a bit concerned. As concerned as that rock-stiff face could get. I took a deep breath, glad I had a friend with me.

I felt the car coming to a stop and the wife opened the door, taking us out from the back. We felt ourselves being gently put onto the floor and some small talk between grown-ups. And then I heard the dreaded word-

'KIDS! COME DOWN!'

I heard a patter of footsteps and I heard a delighted squeal - 'You got it!'

I felt a hand take me out of the bag and I came face to face a with a dark-skinned, sparkly eyed, smiling girl. She had a curly braid down her shoulder and wore the biggest smile I have ever seen!

'Charlie!' she squealed. I looked at her confused, who's Charlie. She sat on the sofa next to the Indian man and said, 'Your name shalleth be - Don Charles Dickens. Charlie shalleth be your nicketh nameth!'

'She's speaking like that because she was reading Robin Hood,' said another girl, jumping down a flight of stairs.

'So Charlie! I'm NM Sirius, call me N,' said the girl, who sat me on her lap. 'Charlie?' I thought, 'Better than Agent 176889.'

Will continue later!

See you on the next Kronicles Post! Bye!
