Stuff

I'm bored cause life often gets boring.

So I decided to ramble on my blog cause why not?

Ever since the policy of only one foreign language in the CBSE curriculum and how it doesn't make sense that they consider 'ENGLISH' a foreign language because every official legal document is written in english, our school has had bit of a short circuit.

We get to choose Hindi or Malayalam as our second language, and I chose Hindi. Most kids chose Malayalam which I guess makes sense.

My entire class contains kids who have taken Hindi as their second which is significantly less than kids who have taken Hindi as their third, so we have 35 kids, which is quite under the average of 40.

So we were moved from our wonderful, spacious classroom to a dingy and tiny one, and most students didn't take the change well.
On a happier note, I made a weird-looking pouch thingy. We were told to bring sewing stuff cause apparently they were gonna teach us how to sew. They didn't.
All they did was give us a youtube video. Which I didn't mind. Mimi is great at it. I brought buttons but forgot to bring cloth. She brought cloth but couldn't find buttons. So I gave her a button and she gave me a piece of her cloth.
She helped me put the string through the tiny hole because I was struggling with it for ten minutes. And
I copied her while doing everything.

We talked about girly stuff like bombs, chemicals, war, the dark web, assasination and morse code. In fact, she was teaching me morse code but I only remember till E.

I pricked my finger a thousand times while making the thing, but Mimi had taken sewing classes so her pouch was a whole lot prettier and could fit more things.

She asked which button I liked the least from my collection so she could take it.
I pointed to the biggest and prettiest one because what am I gonna do with such a pretty button?
She didn't look entirely convinced but took it anyway.

Once I flipped my pouch thingy upside down, it looked much prettier, but the stitching was still pretty loose.
Mimi attached the button as a decorative thingy.
I wanted mine to be a working button.

So I made mine on the inside of my ugly-looking pouch and cut a hole on the other side.
For my first time sewing, I was really proud.
Then Mimi decided she wanted a working button too and added a flap over her pouch and cut a hole on the flap to put the decorative button through.
Then she sewed the hem of the button hole.
I tried to copy her but it ended up looking HORRIBLE so I left it as it is.

Today, me and Tia were roaming around the town when there was a slight drizzle. It had been ages since it was rained properly so we were yelling at the sky to let out a proper downpour. I began to terribly sing Let it Go because I thought the lyrics kinda matched what we wanted.

Because of the drizzle, the sky was relatively cloudy.

But then we heard rain thudding onto the ground.

But not on us. Right next to us! I immediately ducked under Tia's umbrella. It took a few seconds but the dark clouds came over us and the rain was falling in great big droplets. Like crocodile tears! And then the raining slowed to form a drizzle and the rain was heavily going down in front of us.

Tia and I have NEVER seen something like that before. It was awesome. Though we wish the rain had stayed a bit longer, we might have gotten a rain holiday.

We spent the day looking for a four-leafed clover in the grass, staring into the water tank and yelling at the clouds. It was fun.
Also, here's a drawing I drew. She's in the Scarlet Army
