PICNIC

Yesterday, my parents and I decided it would be a great idea to go on a picnic. And when I mean picnic, I mean blankets on the floor and everything. So we decided to go on a little family trip on voting day. We stocked up on lettuce, tomatoes, and mushrooms to make sandwiches. I admit I didn't help at all with the sandwiches. I tried cutting them, but the tomato juice spilled all over me, and worse, I cut them in pieces and not slices. So I pretty much gave up and went upstairs to stare at the ceiling.
So Ru helped with the sandwiches. By cutting the vegetables far too big so my mother had to cut them smaller to fit in the bread. After making four sandwiches, my mother made a salad. Which was basically a bunch of lettuce, tomatoes, capsicum and cucumbers thrown in a ziplock bag.
She also made a dip with curd.

So we finally set off for our journey to this place called Mini Switzerland. Which was supposed to be a nice field that looked like it belonged in Switzerland. I was pretty skeptical at first but chose to just go with the flow. My sister fell asleep five minutes in the car ride. Let me make that clear. She fell alseep on me five minutes in the car ride. And whenever I tried to move her, she'd keep on whining so I just left as it is and hoped she'd slide off me soon. She didn't.
We left the house at 2 o clock. Which is late when you realise that this picnic was supposed to be LUNCH. And Mini Switzerland was much farther away than I thought. It might as well have been the real Switzerland because the drive there felt like forever.

My mother, around 2:40 realised that a singular sandwich would not be enough for lunch. Especially this late. So we stopped at a bakery and my father gave me and Ru a 100 rupee budget to go get anything we want. Upon getting inside the bakery, we saw two mini pizza things, barely the size of our palms. So we bought two of those. And two chicken rolls for our parents. Which totalled to 180 rupees, so we might have went a little over the budget.
After ten more minutes, we finally reached Mini Switzerland at 3:40. A sad looking little field. Everyone was super disappointed but decided to make the most of it. After venturing a bit more into the field, we saw a picturesque spot by the river. Actually many picturesque spots by the river. There were a few dogs playing by the side and I thought  - "If we wanna eat peacefully, let's choose spot where dogs might not be staring us down for our food and/or take our food."
After clearly stating this my father thought, "You know what, I shall sit right next to the dogs for no particular reason, even though there are many other spots ANYWHERE else."
That's how we met our new buddies, Kylie and Peter. Kylie was a snow white dos and looked freaking adorable, and was the boldest in asking for food (which my father firmly refused because of his cold heart) and Peter was a brown black one who was a lot more shy. So they sat behind my sister, the entire picnic, staring at me and my sandwich.

At that's where we realised, we forgot the blanket. We cannot have a picnic without a blanket!
We kinda did, by simply sitting on the floor but the aesthetic flew out the window.
After finishing her sandwich, my sister took out the ziplock baggie with the salad. Then she took out the dip. Then she poured the DIP into the SALAD.
My mother stared at her as if she was gonna eat her alive. We didn't bring plates, so my mother was planning to just dip the salad into the dip as we eat, but now, well - t speaks for itself.

After eating the food the dogs prompltly went away. So we walked around a bit, took some photos, climbed some trees and annoyed some sisters. (By annoyed means stealing Ru's hat and running around the place for her to catch it.)

And that was our picnic in Mini Switzerland!
