PACT

When my eyes set

on you...

I didn't know what to expect from somebody

So blunt and rude.

"Well, we're stuck together"

I said.

"And hopefully not forever..."

Never expect to always reap what you sow

'Cause little did I know

Cause a few days later from this moment

This second exact

We made something that can never be broken

We made a pact.

No matter the time...

I will always be yours

And you will always be mine...

We will be together through every storm

When the lightning strikes

When the thunder roars.

'Cause only if there is rain

Can I see your rainbow...

The time we first met

I was sceptical, nonetheless

Wonderin' how I will make it through

This mess.

But there was something about your smile that made it a fact

Hey...

We made a pact

'Cause no matter the time

I will always be yours

And you will always- be mine

You make me angry beyond measure

And angering you is one of my many talents

But you made me a bit stronger

Not gonna lie

You make me wanna pull all my hair out

And I like making you lose focus

But for some reason, I feel right out

that you're the only person I truly trust...'cause

One day, not long ago

There was a seed that we sowed

For it to grow, nothing lacked

And that was our pact

That no matter the time

I will always be yours

And you'll always be mine...

WHERE DID THIS POEM COME FROM?

The real answer is, I don't know. This person in the poem, I have never met. But I always felt like this person was there, he always was. I was on the ride to dance class when this poem waltzed into my mind- fully formed- with nothing to change. At all. All I know is this guy is a boy- with a particular sense of humour and has a thing for annoying people in a way that will make people miss him if he disappears. Welp, that's all I have for now. I enjoyed this poem, I really hope you enjoyed it too. 'Til the next story.
